The first time I tasted New Holland Brewing Dragon’s Milk White Stout, a specific food pairing came to mind. I saved the idea to create just for this occasion—Valentine’s Day! Enter: white stout + white chocolate covered strawberries. It’s honestly a match made in heaven and any beer lover would be thrilled with the sweet combo.

It’s no secret Dragon’s Milk White Stout is one of my favorite all-time beers. An extremely well-done, drinkable stout that I enjoy all year long—with or without food! With strong notes of vanilla, cocoa, coffee, and oak from being aged in bourbon barrels—it’s an ideal beer for pairing with gourmet white chocolate covered strawberries. Almost creamy in texture, I think Dragon’s Milk White would be amazing paired with other vanilla/coffee desserts as well…tiramisu, strawberry shortcake, or even cheesecake.

I made my own gourmet strawberries by dipping into melted Ghirardelli white chocolate chips then rolling in coconut flakes and sliced almonds. You could definitely try other ingredients like chopped pistachios, sprinkles, crushed cocoa beans, or drizzling with melted dark chocolate.
